Conlig Village near Bangor N.Ireland.  Bought this card recently but the stamp has bee removed wasting the posting date, my G.Grandfather was born here 1855. think the Church is the only building that still exists today. From the clothes of the three women it looks very old, any chance of when it was taken. Thanks.

Thanks for that. The maps I was looking at didn't have the station marked.  Just think he would have been easier getting the train to Motherwell.

Where was Fallside Station?

Old Brittish Newspapers 30/9/1898 : Body Found. -On Monday, the body of a man was found lying at the bottom of an old quarry adjoining Fallside Station, near Uddingston. It is supposed deceased had been taking a short cut through the fields, and had fallen into the quarry, which is about 90ft, deep. The body was removed to  Uddingston Police Station where it has been identified as that of Robert Steel, belonging to New Logans Motherwell. Deceased had been in Glasgow on Saturday night with several companions, and having missed them, came by the train to Fallside, where he got out to walk the remainder of the journey, and met his death. He leaves a widow and nine children.
