You are quite correct and I have changed his birthplace accordingly! The family moved a fair bit when the 7 children were born and there are discrepancies on census info/birth cert ... my Nanna (Thomas' sister) always insisted her place of birth was one place whereas it was registered as another! Lancs bmd has her registered Leyland, when I search Ancestry it's Chorley (and since the towns are "next door" I can see the reason) but she was def born August 27th 1903 and she always insisted she was born in Whittington - which is where the family lived when she was little (actually Old Town near Kirby Lonsdale). I haven't an actual address for them in Aug 1903 but 1901 census has them Newton With Scales, Lancs which isn't too far from Leyland/Chorley/Whittle-le Woods.
The 1911 census has been very badly written up for the family eg Whillie W Cherley is given as her place of birth ... and the family is Farrest! and Thomas Tallon's birthplace Whillie Le Meods!!! So no wonder there is confusion!!! It also lists the Dobsons as though they lived with the Forrests even though they have their own page ... oh and Hutton Woof ... in fact the whole lot is a complete mess - is there any way of getting it corrected??? I've now emailed Ancestry about this.

I tried there! But I suppose it didn't find it because I put in Edie ... now trying to find her birth/death ... I think this could be her Edith Isobel Coward Kendal 1897  and there is also same name 1900 Whitehaven ...

That sounds good! How did you find that so quickly??? On Ancestry their "best" match is dated 1970 (when he had just died ...!!)

Thomas Tallon Forrest was one of my great uncles b 5 Apr 1900 Whittle-le-Woods Lancs but lived in Kendal (like other Forrests) his wife was Edie but I can't find her maiden name/marriage/death ... any help please? I will post in Lancashire as well.
