Trying to find any trace of Thomas Kelly born in Bogtown (Queens Co/Laois). He married Marcella Dempsey of Mountrice, Monasterevan, Co Kildare and they had about 9 children (eldest also Thomas Kelly). His father was also Thomas Kelly but no idea of mother. Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks for your welcome help and advice.

The marraige of John Byrne and Anne Doyle took place in Avoca. Her address was given as Woodenbridge which is nearby and as you say probably the bride's parish.

The birth cert fror Bridget in 1874 Reg No 11962641, in the district of Newbridge, in the Supt Registrar's District of Rathdrum in Co Wicklow.

Bridget's church marraige cert (also in Avoca) lists her address as Barraniskey

Wicklow / Byrnes!!

I know there are lots of Byrnes and Doyles in Wicklow. My GGparents John Byrne (Newtownmountkennedy) - father Thomas Byrne (alive) married Anne Doyle (Woodenbridge) - father Joseph Doyle (alive) in Avoca in       . They went on to have at least 4 children - Margaret in 1865, Anne in 1868, Christopher in 1871 and Bridget (my GM) in 1874. I have Bridgets birth cert which givs the address as something like Ballinsoths?? (difficult to read) and at her marriage her address was listed as Barraniskey. I am trying to find out about John and Anne and their original famiies if possible and where might be buried etc. I am quite new to this research (which is fascinating) and would appreciate any help in going forward especially given the popularity of the Byrne/Doyle names in Wicklow.
