Hi all, I am just doing the Yorke side of my family tree and came across this information. Thank you all for filling in some gaps for me. I am related to Daniel Craven by Mary Ann Yorke- 3rd Great Aunt. Her father James Yorke is my 3rd Great Grandfather whom married Judith Curran 3rd great grandmother.
I live in Australia so hard to get information off family. Will be heading to Ireland in 4 weeks so will be doing some digging.
cheers and stay safe

Hi Sinann

I dont think so my dad never said but back in the day they all had big families.... I never really thought about that but now got me thinking.  Maybe a trip down to dads is warranted .

Cheers

Hi to all.
Wondering if someone could be kind as to help me please. My uncle on my dads side James Kavanagh is thought to have been born in 1910? a son to Laurence Kavanagh a garage owner in Mary's Abbey.  I have searched and searched for him with no findings. I am told his wife was Bridget ( my dad thinks he called her Bridie..age is creeping in) they had 2 girls and 1 boy and lived in now forgive me if i get this wrong Phil Shanahan flats/North Wall.  He was also a butcher on Meath Street as my dad remembers him bringing around meat to his large family.  Any information will get me mind going again.  Thank you all in advance and take care....

The Common Room / Family History Search
« on: Saturday 02 April 16 07:11 BST (UK)  »
Hello, I have done Ancestry for the past couple of years, found a few family members, found this site and wham, more info i got off you lovely people in a question than years on Ancestry.
Contacted Ancestry and they said they dont have alot of info i needed and that they found info on other sites, with little info i gave them on my family. >:(  So NO more Ancestry.
They suggested familysearch and a couple of others.
But my question is which site or sites are the best as i have all my family in Ireland and England.

People on this site are wonderful helpful people and thank you for all your help.
