thanks for your help everyone , have seen these maps and already have the photograph of the sign for Allendale Cottages , what i am after  is photographs of the actual houses if possible. the maps are a good guide to the position of the different streets . thanks once again

Am looking for photographs of Allendale Cottages near Medomsley in co Durham , I and my Brother were born there in late '50s early 60s . we moved from there in 1964. I have very vague memories of the streets( Holly st was our birthpace)  they were all pulled down in  the '80s i think , and would love some photos, esp of Holly street if anyone has any or can point me in the right direction  . thanks  in anticipation

I just found this site today and have registered.. I have spent the last  two hours just browsing and am completely overwhelmed ! have been tracing my families for quite a while now but think this site will be a big help. look forward to 'meeting' some of the regulars .
