Thanks for your responses.  That is the family.  I am particularly interested in William Marshall and Sarah Bole.  I have very little information about them.  Confirmation of their birth dates would be great, and their mothers names would be really wonderful.    It would also be great to clear up whether Sarah is from Cavan or Newry.  I believe William Marshall senior died around 1918.  I know Sarah was deceased by 1946 but no idea when.
I recently found out more about Samuel and Thomas Marshall through the Newry Journal.  And there were some photographs of Stream Street that seem to be from that era.
I am descended from their daughter Flora Anna Marshall.
Any information gratefully received.

Yes, I spotted that too however I have found throughout my research that folk tend to say what is convenient at the time on official records.  Same with the change on place of birth!  Can you tell me anything more about Sarah, I would love to know her mother's name?
:)

My 2nd great-grandmother was Sarah Bole(s) (Bowles):  birth 1863 or 1865 - CAVAN or NEWRY; Married William Marshall 1880 in Newry.  Her father's name is given as John.  This is all the information I have, if this has any connection with your research I would be grateful for any insights you have.
cheers

Thank you so very much, alot to sift through.  Thank you for doing Crozier cross match that might give more clues for location, as the census records in Scotland have not beenvery useful.  It's been such a brick wall for me.

Antrim / McIlvenna / Crozier

From Rose anna McIlvenna 1907 Scottish death certificate, I have learned parents are Hugh McIlvenna and Rose Crozier.  From Irish marriage record 1855 (Belfast) confirmation of Hugh McIlvenna as father with occupation, weaver.
No birth date for Rose Anna McIlvenna but sources suggest about 1837, possible Armagh.
Any information on Rose McIlvenna or her parents would be appreciated.  Addresses, birth ceritificate etc.

Hi,

This is my husband's 2nd Great Grandfather.  William was bord 10th Dec 1856 in Ladhope, Roxburghshire.  He married Margaret Agar 8th Jul 1881.  At the time of the census he is at 21 Alexander Street, however by July his address is 6 Craig Street.  They are living at 437 Main Street Old Monkland in 1901 but on 1911 census they have moved to 93 Dale Street, Glasgow.  He died 17th July 1925.

Cheers

Marriages solemized in the Parish of St Martins in the fields in the county of Middlesex in the year 1816 Leonardo Pranzo and Mary Riccarrina both of this parish were married in this church by Banns this 6th day of May in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixteen By me John Tillotson Curate This marriage was solemized between us - the mark X Leonardo Pranzo; the mark Mary Riccarrina In the presence of Janet Thomas [ ] Taylor No 545

Leonardo was in 31st Regiment, Scicilian Regiment in 1807; Sergeant Sicilian Foot in 1814; he was discharged on medical grounds for blindness.  Leornardo was five feet eight inches, black hair and grey eyes.  He was 9 years younger than William.

William Bradley was also a soldier; who had served for a long time.  He was discharged in 1817 as a Chelsea Pensioner.  Given Leonardo's medical discharge in London I think this is the connection between the men other than their relationship with Marie.

Transcript from William's records.

8th To prevent any imprper use being made of this Discharge, by its falling into other Hands, the following is a Description of the said William Bradley. He is about forty five years of age, is five feet six inches in height, fair, blue eyes, fair complexion; and by Trade or Occupation a Weaver,

The baptismal record I am associated with Thomas transcription:
Thomas William, Son of; William & Mary; Bradley; Turks Row; Soldier - there is no reference on who conducted the ceremony.

I don't have record for Scotland 1861 census downloaded; it is on ancestry - she is recorded as Mary Brodelty (transcription error for Bradley); birth about 1801; the address and her daughter's details verify the match is correct.  William had passed away 4 years before.

Hope all this help.
