Hello Angie
My father was one of eight children all born at 113 ladywood road ,but I believe they moved to kingstanding in the  1930,s ,when kingstanding was built .
They had all passed away ,when I found the one relative, he gave me the information I know and a photo of my Father  he is younger than me , the other relative I found was a brother in law to my father and  he could only tell  me about my father when he lived at lisson grove Kingstanding.

There is an excellent website called the "Birmingham history webring " with a link to site called "Old Ladywood"
I would give this a try.
                                          Regards Paul
