John, your information was fascinating. I am trying to place David McDougall and Jessie. Do you have any idea what approx year he might have ben born, died etc? There are quite a few David's in my tree.

I am trying to confirm my ancestors as follows:
William GREEN bn abt 1770 Married Ann
William GREEN bn abt 1792 married Mary Ann
Edward Richard Frederick GREEN - found and confirmed bn 1812, d 1848 cause of death unknown.

Wanting to hear from anyone with information about the Mackdowgall family of Eckford and Roxburgh, Roxborough, Scotland. My relatives are as below:
Thomas McDougall b 1669 Roxburgh
James Mackdowgall b approx 1664 Roxburgh (note the spelling change) m Mergaret Rutherford
Samuell Mackdowgall b 1631 Roxburgh m Mergaret Bell
Robert Mackdowgall b 1602 Roxburgh, Cleghorne
James Mackdowgall b Kelso, Marion Leirmont

Thank so much for your e-mail message. Rebecca Walker is my relative who is buried in Eckford Churchyard. I think they eother lived in Eckford or Caverton Mill, probably Eckford. See family tree above. I dont think there is a connection here but my Ednam relatives were Rev. Lamb and family in Ednam. George Lamb was my G grandfather.

Hi, I am looking for any infrmation about the history of Cavers and/or Caverton Mill area, inhabitants - my McDougall ancesters came from here. (Yes I have googled and followed up on thee leads).

Are there any books I can purchase about these areas?
