Hi Bethan
It seems that the e-mail route has not worked for lack of 3 postings between us if I understand the message correctly.
Even if it is only by irresistble inference there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we are related. Magwen's mother was my grandmother's half sister; they shared the same mother. This lady was unmarried when my grandmother was born and her surname was Francis. She became Lloyd after marrying a Lloyd from Llanychaer who then took my grandmother under his roof. These two half sisters married two Griffiths brothers. My grandmother married the William R Griffiths mentioned in Dorian's post and Magwen's mother married the Griffith Richard Griffiths also mentioned in it.
As for the other siblings I met most of them I believe when I was about 9 and we stayed at Edward Street with a lady called Auntie Lizzie. Reverting to Magwen she married a man whose surname was Shepherd and who was a bus driver I believe . Magwen eventually moved to Fishguard, where her daughter (who is now widowed) lives. It is also possible that members of the family of one of the female siblings are in Fishguard having moved there from Essex. It was confirmed to me over the telephone that the family did live on North Road Porth at two numbers and one was 17.
In addition to myself there are three other people of my generation of William R Griffiths' line alive. They are all in Pembrokeshire and I'm in Cardiff. Incidentally, where are you.
Allof this would be so much easier if we could communicate by e-mail or 'phone, so possibly we should keep the post going until Rootschat releases us form this bondage ,as helpful as it has undoubtedly been for me to make contcatct with someone with a shared bloodline who I did not know existed
