I have found Mary Ann Haigh christening and now have even more questions
these are the details of her christening
father James Lees clothier, her fathers name was in brackets like this (james lees) and her mother was Hannah Haigh and next to her name was sw and I guess sw = single woman. And the place she was christened was Watroyd, Golcar.
Who was this James Lees and if the Hannah on Mary's marriage certificate under the father's occupation was her mother. Where was Hannah and her daughter Mary on the 1841 census.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Buckinghamshire / Merritt/Marrott of Buckinghamshire
« on: Thursday 19 December 13 12:45 GMT (UK)  »
My 5th great grandfather Richard Merritt married Ann Ashfield in 1791 in Cuddesdon, Oxford. And I have his birth year being around 1774 and I know his parents were William Merritt and Mary. I only Richard I can find with the parents William and Mary on the fam search thingy is for a Richard Marrott c- 16 Jan 1774 in Dorton, Buckinghamshire.
Does anyone have access to christening or marriage records to find Richard or his parents William and Mary.
Is Marrott a spelling variation of Merritt. I looked on a map and Dorton is not far from where Richard married Anne Ashfield.

Hi
My 3rd great grandmother Mary Wiggan, daughter of Francis Wiggan and Sarah Cooper. Was born around 1839 in Staffordshire. In 1856 she was married to Thomas Tomlinson, and on each census gives different birth places, but it is the same person.
I have her marriage and death certificates, and would really like to track down her true place of birth. Without costing a fortune in getting wrong certificates.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I have found her on all censuses so don't need any lookups on the census records.
