Sutherland / Looking for William Miller married to Margaret Charleson

I'm doing my research on the Miller family for my husband. According to the Parish of Dornoch wedding certificate of William Miller, aged 23 of Dornoch (to Margaret Forbes aged 22 of Dornoch) his father is William Miller, Mason, Journeyman and his mother is Margaret Charleson, Domestic Servant. I cannot find anything on Scotland's People relating to either the father or the mother for birth, marriage or death.  Does anyone have information which can help me please

Hi Jim - firstly apologies I should have typed Death Certificate.

I have Andrew's Birth Certificate from 1874 and his Death Certificate from 1943 which shows his parents as William Burt and Margaret Erskine.

I only have the Death Certificate for Andrew's father William from 1891 which shows his parents as William Burt and Jane Morris but still can't find the Birth Record which could tie in with the illegitimacy angle. I can find the birth record for William's brother Arthur which shows his parents names as William Burt and Jean Morris

Hi - finally found the birth certificate and his parents are registered as William Burt and Jane Morris so thank you all for getting me moving another bit further along the road. I must say this family tree tracing is addictive and I'm well hooked.

Thanks again  :)

Hi Jim

Thank you - I was so keen to get my first post done I forgot to put on all the information - oops.
Date of marriage was 24th April 1854 at the North Ironworks in Carnock.
Margaret was born on 14th December 1835 in Alloa and I do have her parents Daniel & Margaret (nee Syme).
I only have William's year of birth 1828 and year of death 1891.
According to what I've found out so far they had 9 children but it just seems so strange that my great grandad was born 20 years into the marriage. I've already gone down the wrong route with another William Burt and Margaret Erskine and am now a bit wary in case I've done this again.
I have the 1871 census for Carnock - 16 Store Row where ggrandad was born.
My Ggrandad was Andrew Burt, born 6th February 1874 at 16 Store Row and died 12th April 1943.

My Drylie side was quite easy to do and I thought the Burts would be the same - how wrong can I be?

I've just started doing my family tree which includes Burt's. Unfortunately there are thousands of Burts. I got a bit confused and went down the wrong road and followed a totally different tree. The William Burt I'm trying to find out more about was born in 1828 and was married to Margaret Erskine from Clackmannanshire. I've pulled off a lot of info from Scotlands People but just cannot trace Williams parents - please can anyone help?
