Yes  that's the photo.
My mum is in it.  I thought I'd save the photo.  Sent it to my auntie. See if she knew.  I got a shock.
My auntie asked me where I got it.
And from what I can understand. My gran had a copy.
I hope I can get a copy of it so I can see it clearly.

Thank you for your help again.

Hello again everyone.
I'm sorry if I put this on the wrong one and if I've already asked.
What I'm trying to find out is where I can get a clearer picture of the children in abergele hospital Wales.
The reason why I'm asking is because is because my mum was in abergele hospital Wales when she was around 3 until the age of 5.  My mum told me that she was having to lie on her back for quite a few years.
I do have a copy of the children in abergele hospital.  But I got it from there site a few years ago.   I've tried to find the New paper who took the photo.  I've even sent a email to the BBC.  I've not heard anything back.
I've tried attachment on this site. But I get the file is too big.
If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it.  As I think my mum is in the 1st bed facing the camera.
Thank you again for your help.
And I'm sorry if I've posted this on the wrong one.
Many thanks to you all

Stirlingshire / Re: Help - Eveline Jones or Shulman

Hello everyone.
I've been trying to find out about my Grans belongings for the last few weeks.

I have a copy of my Grans marriage certificate for when she married Alfred Evan Jones.  It just says her  name as we know it.  But on my mum's birth certificate it has a complete different name. Even though I've been to the register office in Manchester to find out if they issued the correct birth certificate for my mum.
I was told it's definitely my mum's birth certificate and the names on it are correct.
I wasn't expecting  the name of hill on my mum's birth certificate. I thought it would just give the parents names on it.
So ever since I got my copy of my mum's birth certificate it's been bothering me. Where the mystery name came from.
Even though I was told it's definitely related to your grandmother Eveline.

I honestly appreciate your help you have given me.  You are all amazing at Finding things out I can't
Thank you  all again

Stirlingshire / Help - Eveline Jones or Shulman
« on: Monday 20 July 20 12:41 BST (UK)  »
Hello I'm not sure if I have already asked this question in the past.  If so I really apologise.  At thè moment I'm trying to find out everything I can about my late gran eveline Jones.  Jones is her married name.  I know her as Eveline shulman.  There's a few things that I'm in need of some help with.
My gran Eveline passed away in Stirling hospital scottland 1998 . What i don't know is what happened to her belongings. As no family was precent. I'm trying to find out where I can get this information.

The 2nd one is really strange.
When my gran Eveline married my grandad Alfred evan Jones her name was Eveline shulman.
But on my mum's birth certificate it says Eveline Jones formerly hill.
Now I'm wondering where it came from.
According to the Manchester register office.  My mum's birth certificate is correct and the name of hill is eaither my grans birth name or she was married before she married Alfred Evan Jones.  Now I don't know if she was married before she married Alfred Evan Jones. Or is it her birth name.
From what I can understand my gran Eveline was adopted by David Joseph Shulman and his wife Annie.

If anyone can help me solve this id  really appreciate it.

Thank you for your help and time.

Thank you everyone for your help.
My husband is applying for his dad's army records. I'm just going to pay for them.  I'm saving up for them.  So after Christmas I can start.  Otherwise I won't get them  until after the new year.
I received my grandads army records this January from November last year.
Now that I know more about how to go about applying for his dad's army records. It's alot easier.  So he would put  son as next of kin.
Where I put grandaughter for next of kin on my application form for my grandads army records.

Thank you all so much for your help and time.
I really appreciate it.

Hello. Thank you so much for the link of the chindits.  It's just possible my father in law is amongst the soldiers.  He was  linked to the gurcas.  Sorry if it's misspelt.
It's a bit confusing tho.  My father in law was in the Lancashire fuslelires in ww2  how would he be in the gurcas?

I'm definitely going to show my husband these photos.  I hope one is his regiment. /btn.
Thank you for your help.

His mum  has passed away quite a few years ago.  So basically he's having to do this on his own.  It seems like his family won't help him.
Because  I understand what it's like not having any help from my main family a few years ago.  I've  decided to help him in what ever I can.
I applied for my grandads army records  last year.  I received  them  January. Because I had to wait 6-8 weeks  because of Christmas.
So because of  funds.  I'm  starting to save up for his dad's army records for him.  As a prescent for all he's done for me over the past 42 years

I'm going to to get a application form
But I don't know what part to put. Like  next of kin.  Because I'm applying them I'm his daughter in law.  And because I'm doing this as a present for my hubby.  Would I be able to apply for my father in laws  army records?

Thank you for your help
