HI PJ,
Many thanks for the headstone information, it was very good of you to go and find it for us.  Am so looking forward to standing there and seeing it for my self.  As for the grave in Tulla, I haven't found, as yet, any Jannet Sinclair in the family, her birth would have been around 1780, her birth date would make her the age of Thomas' mother but we have no information about his parents at all. We only have a short time in Ireland at the end of our trip but will definitely email if time permits to go to this grave as well.

again thank you
Dianne

Hi Anna, Isaac Sinclair and Thomas were brothers, Isaac was a farmer and Thomas was a shopkeeper, it seems. He is the one you located on the Griffiths Valuation, also it is his probate documents listing his daughter Margaret as his beneficiary.

Many thanks to all the replies received, I had located most of the information given above, also finding it very hard to  believe there were 18 children, think this might be a bit of an exaggeration. I have located 9, but most did not survive to be in the 1901 or 1911 census. Cannot work out where son Thomas Sinclair was in both census as he was born in 1870 and died in 1953.I agree there are only 3 and 2 Sinclairs respectively in the two census and they are the correct ones.
Will contact the Church of Ireland to see if they can help  with locating the grave yard, if it does exist.  It was great to hear that the RC and Church of Ireland shared the church as that was a bit of a stumbling block as I was aware that the family were Church of Ireland and couldn't find that church on their website.
Again thank you for the help

Tipperary / Sinclair family of Bansha and Kilmoyler

Can anyone help me with information about the Kilshane cemetery. Family members have told me that our Sinclair family are buried in this cemetery. I have searched on line but cannot seem to locate an address for it.I know that the family had property in the Bansha area and have documents telling me that was where they farmed. My GGrandfather went to England in the late 1800's but his family all stayed in Ireland in the above area. We are visiting Ireland in October and would love to try and locate any records re my GGrandparents and their other children.  I do have some BDM records and are all from this area, I know that Thomas Sinclair married Mary Turner in 1862 at Kilmoyfer (? unsure of spelling) Church and that 9 of their 18 children were born and baptised in this church, or so my G Aunt told me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as to where I start to search.
