I think Stephen G. Millo is a relation but I have no information about him - so that's a great lead you've given me there.

Also I think Lillian Millo (nee Weyman) is definately a relation, killed by a V2 bomb in WW2 - though I only have her son Leon also killed. May I ask where you found the information about them? My information is just the memories of my great aunt about her aunts and uncles.

The date of 1916/17 for the picture of Charles A. Millo sounds good to me, I noticed he's wearing a wedding ring, and I have him being married to Elsie May Butler in 1915.

Thanks again for the info.

Thanks for that, so I now think this must be Charles Austin Millo, 1893-1953, Surrey.
I'll have to keep searching for a picture of T.E. Butler

This may be Thomas Edward Butler 1853-c1900 of Surrey, who is described as "Trooper 21st Lancers" on his daughters marriage cert.
I think the 3 stripes mean Sergeant, but what does the diagonal cross signify?
There are also some letters on the shoulder that I can't make out.
I feel that this photo is actually too late (say WWI) to be Thomas.
