Sorry, I'm not into online trees there are too many errors in the trees of others but I'm happy to share information.   Arthur Catlow was my g.gt grandfather and I have the Catlows back to a marriage of John Catlow and Betty Cock in Colne in 1784. I am also in touch with two other Catlow descendants, one in the US (whom I have met) and another in I think, Bury.

It's been a long time since I've been on Rootschat and I'm having some difficulty with a different web layout!

Technical Help / Re: Windows 8 won't show ink cartridge levels
« on: Thursday 21 November 13 11:04 GMT (UK)  »
Many thanks for all your suggestions.

Flatybasher : I checked out the link but my drivers are already up to date.
Falkyrn:  There isn't an option to print a test page.
Calverley Lad:  I can access a maintenance page but the status monitor option is not there.

I have rung Epson (at 10p per minute) and was told that my printer is too old to be compatible with Windows 8 and they couldn't help.

I connected the printer back to my old pc, which luckily I still have, and the ink status monitor on there said it was the yellow ink which needs replacing. I have done this, reconnected to the new pc and the printer is working again - until another cartridge runs out.  ::)

Thank you Falkryn.  I had a go at this but the status monitor option doesn't come up, only the options to
nozzle check, clean the heads and  print head alignment.  On the printing preferences main page there is an option to "get ink levels" but I just get an error message.  I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a new printer!

Any one want 7 black, 2 yellow, 2 cyan, 1 magenta and 1 light magenta cartridges?

Technical Help / Windows 8 won't show ink cartridge levels
« on: Wednesday 20 November 13 12:27 GMT (UK)  »
I have a new pc with Windows 8.  My Epson printer (Stylus Photo R320) was working perfectly until one of the ink cartridges ran out.  On my old pc I got a warning message about ink levels but no longer get this and I have no idea which cartridge needs replacing.  Help please.

I'd love to know where you got the apprenticeship information Markbam.  I don't have any information on anyone called Butcher in my tree at all.  According to my information, your John Bambridge (1774) married an Elizabeth Thurgood 22nd June 1810.  Might this have been a second marriage?

Anyway, it seems we share a 5x and 6x g.grandparents.  Let me know if you would like information on them.

My main pc is an old one using Windows XP.  I have a laptop (also with Outlook Express) which has Windows 7.
