Hello Donald, thanks for taking the time, sometimes the best discoveries happen that way. In some ways it would fit him, but I don't believe this one is him. His d.o.b. is 10 June 1869 in 7 Smiths Lane, Nairn, Scotland. This one below however looks convincingly like him, includes his middle initial, and his decorations. National Archves 1914-1918 Medal Roll. My gr-grandfather (Corps: Cameronians Scottish Rifles) oral testimony says he won the DCM twice (DCM and Bar), the first in the Boer War and the Second in WW1.
