Thanks, JM

The Charlotte Tindall on the North Britain, and married Thomas Mansell, is not Charlotte Thompson who married John Tindall.

I am looking for the death of the latter Charlotte Thompson Tindall... who arrived in 1811 and was already married to John Tindall prior to his transportation.

Cheers
Anne

I am also a descendant of John Tindall and Charlotte Thompson... there must be tens of thousands of us by now, I think.

Charlotte Thompson Tindall did not marry Thomas Mansell. The application for marriage has her arriving in the colony on a different ship. Our Charlotte arrived on "Friends" in 1811. Charlotte Tindall is also listed on an 1841 Census with her family at Penrith.

She and her son, George, were also charged in 1842 (not guilty) of stealing pork.

However, what happened to her is a mystery. I can't find any record of a death for her.

Charlotte and John Tindall's daughter, Charlotte, is my 3X great-grandmother. Charlotte jnr married John Bowles in 1839.

If there is anyone with a burial record for Charlotte Thompson Tindall... we would love to know the details.

Kind regards
Anne

Hello to those who have replied to this post and thank you for sharing the information.

I am researching Thomas David McConnell who was married in Jamaica in 1857 and died there in 1911. He was born around 1830.

He had a sister, Thomasina, born around 1837.

We don't know where either child was born, but an oral history about Thomas David suggests he spoke with a 'Scottish brogue', sang "Annie Laurie" a lot and his parents caught a ship from Jamaica to go home and were never heard from again.

Do you have any missing members of the family who may be the parents of these two people?

Thomas David and his wife, Elizabeth Smart Haughton Reid, named their children:
- David George
- Mary Georgiana
- Thomasina Rebecca Susannah
- Milborough Millicent
- Thomas Charles

Thanks for any consideration you can give to my search.
Kind regards
Anne

I am trying to locate birth information for Thomas David McConnell, born about 1830 in St Ann or Trelawny, Jamaica.

His father was Thomas McConnell and his siblings were Mary Ann McConnell born 1832 St Ann (mother: Susan Hall) and Amelia Jane McConnell born 1834 Trelawny (mother: Elizabeth McNeil)

The mother of Thomas David could be either, depending on his actual year of birth.

Thanks  :)
