FWIW - There is a James Looby a memorial in Dualla, Our Lady's cemetery outside of Cashel, large stone in the yard. The story goes he was Thomas Nolan of Newpark, Cashel - his godfather, Looby was a friend of Martin Nolan (Thomas's Father) originally of Glosha, Rathdowney, Queens County (LAOIS) . I don't know if this Looby was from Rathdowney, the spellings can be confusing. Will get the story if I can from my 2nd cousin since he told me this to find out if he knows where the guy was from. The inscription of the photo I took reads - Erected in Loving Memory of the brave men of Dualla who gave their lives for Ireland. Pierce McCan T.D Died in Glouster Prison, 6th of march, 1921, Capt James Looby and William Delaney, Killed at Kilfeace, 18th Dec 1920 by British Forces, Lawrence Looby Killed at Ballysheehan 19th Dec 1920 by British Forces. RIP

Hi, I have a feeling we have your James in our Tree. If I am right, his Brother Martin my GGF also worked for the railroad. We were known as the Nolan's of the Railroad in Dualla outside Cashel. All the line comes form Rathdowney. We have a Jack in our tree, and unless he had a twin sister, its plausible the year you have might be wrong, but very close. The Railroad is the key tip here. Worst case they are cousins or railroad was the only employment and its a coincidence. Any way to chat off this thing? They were all in Ballybuggy and Glosha. Jack was one of 12+ children.
