Unfortunately I only know her as Annie Jackson maiden name Harvey. I do not know anything about her or who she married and my auntie who told me this did not seem to know any more than that.
Not much to go on.
I wonder if through some shipping register William's parents may be found as you would think that parents need to be recorded in-case of death at sea etc. I don't really know how to proceed from here.

Dorothy was my Auntie - William A. Harvey's daughter who lived in Auckland over the later part of her life.
As where was Annie and William born, I do not know and thought working backwards might reveal this. I guess I do not have enough information to go on but if I could firm up William's birth certificate.

The birth certificate I have says William born 6th July 1846 at Wagon Horse Lane so perhaps Annie  was born their as well if this is the correct birth certificate. Father William Harvey mother Jane Harvey formerly Miller, father occupation Cowkeeper. Jane was the informant and residence Wagon Horse Lane.

I should have mentioned that William Alfred Harvey arrived in New Zealand 30th October 1872 on the ship Queen Bee (he worked on the ship as Boatswain) leaving the ship and stayed in NZ for the rest of his life - died 30th march 1920 in Auckland.
Whats been found so far is most interesting with respect to baptism, I had not thought of that.

Perhaps I need to explain. Annie Jackson nee Harvey is the sister of my Great Grandfather, William Alfred Harvey (sailed to NZ on the Queen Bee, ). In the family bible he wrote that he was born 6th April 1846 the birth certificate I obtained said 6th July 1846 and so is this the correct birth certificate or not? I talked to my auntie Dorothy who died in 2004 at 103 yrs and told me of a sister and a half brother who was lost at sea. The only details mentioned was of the sister who lived with a Mrs White at 20 Cambergrove Rd Camberwell - memory of the address was somewhat hazy and tended to change slightly each time I questioned her. Annie was a bookkeeper for a London hotel. I am trying to clarify William Alfred Harvey's birth certificate so as to get his parents name - there is no mention of is parents or hie sister and half brother in the diary. So you see it is not easy but I thought if all these little clues joined up I might find the parents. I started this long ago when internet did not exist but thought now after talking to a neighbour about this site I may have better success.

Willian Alfred Harvey - taught at the Crystal Palace, took up sailing but walked out of the captaincy exams, disagreed with the paper! Was on the Hydaspes which for 6 weeks was on fire behind the galley and put into port at Liverpool - this was told to me by my Auntie dates not known. The marriage certificate does not show any parents. Regards Max Pow
