It appears the  page can't be accessed using an UK IP address. I switched to a US IP address and had no problem accessing.

Will PM you obits for both as they mention children and grandchildren still living.

Replied to PM - You are a star RJ137  ;D

How very strange?  The Chieftain obviously refuses contact from a UK/Scottish PC?  I get the same message trying the 'contact' address too...

The page has a "404 Not Found" error from Canada.  The page has likely been removed or archived

The paper has a good contact page where you may find assistance with where the pages are now stored.

Ah thanks for that.  I got a '451 unavailable due to legal reasons' error & something to do with GDPR.  I shall try your contact page link.  Cheers again.

Hi there -  Was trying to look up an obit link I have, but for some reason it will not allow me to access it from Scotland??  Any ideas how to get round it, or could someone perhaps look it up for me and be able to copy & paste the details (if there are any)?  Would be much obliged.  Thank you.

Link is as follows;  http://www.chieftain.com/obituaries/index/1169704800

Obit is for George Malcolm MacKintosh, died Jan 2007.

Thanks for any advice/help.

Had another look & it appears that 6-17 appears next to others on the page.
The way I read it gave the impression he died of wounds on that date.
Happy to be corrected.
Their diary says they were at Arras.

Thanks Jim - just had a look, think its into the next column for date payment made; can see how confusion could be caused.

Thank you both for that.  Yes the June death puzzled me a bit - I have it as 24/4/1917.  Shall have a look at the links.
Cheers

Rolls show he served in 1st Batt Camerons then 7th Batt Gordon Highlanders

Ady

Thanks Ady, I eventually discovered that; had thrown me off the trail for a while as the photo I had been looking at was a Cameron Uniform - so I was searching CWWG for him in that regiment, which of course he changed at some point.  I did see on FmPast web site that they had additional information, the like of he enlisted in Inverness & died of wounds - I just wondered where the source of that info had come from, and was there somewhere else that I wasnt looking?  Thanks for your reply.
