Hi,
I have just registered, and would like to know if anyone has any information about my gg grandfather Edward Tackaberry's family he was born about 1798 in Kilmuckridge Co. Wexford. He joined the 73rd of foot in Gorey 1822. I would like to more about his military career and who his parents were if possible also when he died.

I am researching the McGale family name. Many of the McGales came originally from Drumragh parish in County Tyrone , Northern Ireland. I keep any references to the name from anywhere in the world. Many McGales in Canada and USA also England and Scotland. Please feel free to contact me if you want or can offer information.
Thanks Kathleen

Hello
Thanks for all that information. My GG grandmother was Martha Tackaberry who married William Ashfield in Cork. He was in the Black watch regiment and so was her father, Edward Tackaberry. He was born in Kilmuckridge Wexford according to his army records. I am assuming they were Church of Ireland. We went over to Wexford last year but the church was locked and rector was on hols. I wrote tohim with a SAE but he didn't reply . Locals told me thet thought the registers were still at the church.
I am in England where are you.
