Is this a place to start on how to find living family of Patrick John MAGUIRE who died 23 April 2012 Liverpool? The obituary listed sympathy wishes from sister May and brother-in-law Mike. I'm looking tol connect with cousins descended from Patrick John MAGUIRE, born in Allahabad, India abt 1874

Hello Jazmine,
I'm having doubts whether that is my Denis Corbett of India. Two of his children were married on 9 Apr 1872, Patrick (25) and Johanah (17) on the same day, so he was probably born between 1817 and 1827

Could you re-tell me the marriage year and parish for your Denis Corbett? Your reply from 3 May 2015 may have been taken down, for copyright  abuse, I'm assuming.

For your research, maybe any witnesses listed for the record would be a clue toward further research. You might be able to find a civil death record for Denis Corbett's parents or a graveyard transcription.

Hello Anne,
I also have ancestors born in Whitegate, such as my great grandpa Owen Maguire and his sister Hannah was born also in 1847. You might find info at site that holds Clonrush cemetery/graveyard data and info on the Lakyle National school (www.clonrush.eu) where your ancestor and her siblings probably attended. It looks like there is a Joe Burke of Whitegate buried in Clonrush graveyard (http://www.clonrush.eu/JBurke.htm). If Joe Burke's grave is indexed there, there is likely a civil death record for him. If you are lucky there might be a Roman Catholic baptism record for your Hannah Burke/Bourke at rootsireland.ie at their pay site. My Hannah's baptism was there, which listed father and mother's maiden name.

Count yourself lucky to have ancestors from co Clare due to the many great helps waiting for you from Clarelibrary.ie. Note that there Whitegate/Clonrush were in Co Galway up until 1898, so don't let that confuse you like it does me.  It seems you can mostly forget that, since most records show up under County Clare.
Good luck

Hello Jazmine,
I'm hoping to share information about this Dennis Corbett of Charleville, Co Cork. He may be my gg grandfather, who was the father of the bride to my g grandfather Owen Maguire in Chunar India in 9 Apr 1872. The baptism records seem to start very late there in Charleville RC parish, but we might get lucky with a marriage record for his parents there.  I'll check for more findings and repost here. Do you know the fate of Dennis Corbett, where he served and where he ended up.

Good luck with your searches.  By the way, this is my 1st rootschat post ever. i have dna results at GEDMatch kit A855225.

 :)
