Hello, debu,

Many thanks for that helpful information on the Gallwey family. I haven't posted much recently and am not always able to respond immediately to replies, but I do appreciate any help and positive contributions from other members.

Hello,

Many thanks to hanes teleu and majm for the positive replies.

I had a good look in ancestry.com for a Roy C. Whitelaw, but couldn't find him.

A.L. North is listed in the "Schola Grammatica Sydneiensis" published in March 1915, but no first names are given.

I searched for S.P. England again, but still without any success.

Hello,

Thanks for that reply. Makes sense that "F.H.Pigeon" was Lieutenant (later Major) Frederick Hugo Pigou.

« on: Monday 04 January 16 16:04 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I'm looking for some basic biographical information on a Mrs Leslie-Jones, as she was always listed in contemporary sources such as 'The Times of India' newspaper. She won the women's singles title at the Punjab Lawn Tennis Championships in Lahore in 1910.

I would particularly like to find her first name(s) and maiden name.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

I am looking for some basic biographical information on the following men, who were resident in British India in the period circa 1890-1910. Some of them might have been employees in the British Indian Civil Service.

I have looked through the Indian Army & Civil Service Lists and searched ancestry.com quite thoroughly for information on them, but with little success.
