Thanks Aghadowey!  There were sons of both William and Thomas Junior, but i dont know any of the lines relatives at this point.  Only Williams sons loved beyond childhood.

Thanks for letting me know about the Chronicle Chronicle and checked B,M and D records.  I wish there was a way to find out more on the Thomas Boyd Sr. Born in 1784 family.

Hope all is well!!!

Thanks all for the tips, etc.  I may look into the y-DNA test via FTDNA.  I just got an updated Ancestry DNA and i am now at 43% Scottish (from 36%)!

As My Thomas Boyd who died in 1865 in NY city had a post in his obituary from the family to share with Coleraine papers, i may try and look into Colereraine papers.  Any idea where to start there?  I know that Thomas Boyd Jr. (born 1820 in NI and died in NYCity in 1885 or so) was also a stone Mason, so maybe a family business?

The Boyd name was passed down for years even via the maternal line.  My grandmother is Ethel Boyd Heaney (Miller) and her first son was named Richard Boyd Miller.

Aghadowey, its Irish Lynn again trying to find out more on the Thomas Heaney married to Anne Thompson family.  I am related to John Heaney Thomas’s oldest son who came to NYCity and died in 1863.  Do you know who John Heaneys paternal grandparents are?  I cannot determine if it might be William Heaney or John Heaney as Thomas’s (born in 1801) father.  Kind of at a standstill there.  I have looked through all the previous threads and there seem to be 3 main Heaney family’s that i am looking at.

I am also asking on behalf of another Heaney cousin who is the great times 3 granddaughter of Daniel Heaney who came to New York City and John Heaneys younger brother.  You have been the person that has provided me the best information over the last 3 years!

Hope you are doing fine and give my best to Leslie when next you see him!  Warm Regards!

Thanks Gaffy -

Yes, from some other research done we “feel” they lived near or in Kilsheleen.  The 3 children you mentioned are very likely the same family.  Catherine and Margaret made it to the USA, married and are buried in Western, PA.  We dont know what happened to John and Ellen/Helen and William may have been born in 1838-1840 and their is no birth record so far.  William made it over to Western PA and is my husbands Great x’s 5 grandfather.  Nora/Honorah came as a widow, so the history is that Richard died in Ireland before immigrating.

Still trying to get more info. On the family that was in Tipperary.

Thanks as always!  My relatives were from Londonderry.  Irish Lynn

Looking for Information on my husbands Great x 4 grandfather, Richard Sinnott/Sennett/Synnott.  We know he did not immigrate to the USA and died in Tipperary.  He was married to Honorah/Norah and was probably about 40-42 in 1852.  The family came to the USA in 1853/1854 timeframe and settled in Western, Pennsylvania.  He had 5 children - John, Catherine, Margaret, William and Helen/Ellen.

Thank you!  Irish Lynn
