I agree with Claire, mislaid the name, intended to complete the entry later, but forgot.
It is a clerical error, we are all human, even clerics.

Caernarvonshire / Conwy Valley newspapers 1966

A relative died a few miles south of Conwy in September 1966. He had quite an interesting life.

I recently met another relative who said he saw an obituary for this man, but could not find it now, almost half a century later. He thought it was probably a local newspaper, but was not sure.

Could someone kindly advise me what newspapers circulated in the area in 1966, and what library might have them.
I live in Ireland, and occasionally visit the British Library in London. I would also be quite happy to visit a library on the North Wales coast. Perhaps they might even be online.

Kildare / Re: Kellys Off Rathangan
« on: Friday 01 January 16 23:03 GMT (UK)  »
What is your source for his year and place of birth?

As John is/was the commonest boy's name, Joseph was almost the standard middle for boys between 1880 - 1950, and Kelly is the second most common surname in Ireland, it is essential to have further information to pursue this matter.
Regarding Rathangan research:
BMD Registration: it is in the Union and Superintendent Registrar's District of Edenderry,
it is in the RC parish of Kildare and Rathangan.
Griffith Valuation: it is in the county of Kildare, barony of East Offaly, but some of it's hinterland is in the barony of West Offaly.
