Hi Wivenhoe,
Thank you for your prompt of supplying greater detail.

When I posted I was greatly focussed on George and Mary Lynch and did not realise the level of detail regarding their children that would be required.

The information and explanations that you have listed that would assist other forum readers to make a connection will take time to put together and I will add it as soon as I can.

Thank you for your time in responding.

Regards,
Karen.

Thank you Hallmark.
I had found the first link you sent, but did know of the second one. Much appreciated.

Wivenhoe - they lived in Victoria, a little time was spent in South Australia by the Sargeants, plus some later moved to New South Wales.

I have quite a bit of information on the families that came to Australia. I am now looking for information on the parents and possible other family members in Ireland. I also have some information on the family of Elizabeth Ross who married John Lynch.

Hello,

I am trying to find information or connect with others connected to the family of George Lynch and Mary Black.
I do not know when they married however the children that I have are:
1. Sarah Jane b. abt 1839 - married Joseph Sargeant in 1857, traveled to Australia in 1860's with children.

2. David b. abt 1860 - married Mary Jane or Lavinia Duke/Duck in1883. Mary died in 1894 and David traveled to Australia with their 3 children in 1896 (I am a descendant of David's. As far as I know my grandfather, David's son was born in Portadown)

3. John b. abt 1861 d. 1904 - married Elizabeth Ross possibly in 1886. Elizabeth died in 1907 and their 6 daughters traveled to Australia in 1909.

Given the difference in age of Sarah to David I think it is possible that there were more children born in between. It could also be possible that Sarah had a different mother to David and John, which could also explain the large gap.

I have no other information on the parents George and Mary - but would be very interested and happy to discover more.

Any tips/pointers/suggestions welcome. I live in Australia so most of my research is done online, which I know is limited.

Hoping to discover others who may be looking at the same family.

Karen.

Hi,
The Mary Warren I have came to Australia and married men named Woods and Champion. One of her  marriage cents and her death record give her father as Thomas Warren.

My G grandfather was the son of Margaret Warren and James Castles. His daughter, my grandmother, knew Mary as Grand Aunty Champion. My grandmother had also mentioned a grandfather and grandmother Warren who were also in Australia.

I am trying to find the connection between Mary Champion (née Warren) and my great grandfather.

Of course, they may have just been close family friends and the fact that her maiden name was Warren is purely coincidence!

Letitia Castles, sister to Thomas, also came to Australia and married Skittrall. I have traced her family pretty much as far as i can.

Hi Norbunt,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I am a descendant of Margeret Warren and James Castles via their son Thomas. Thomas Castles has incorrectly been recorded in some family trees as travelling to Africa. His sister Letitia also came to Australia.

I live in Australia.

I am trying to track the Warren family as my Aunts and Unlces have relayed stories of a grand Aunt and a grandfather and grandmother Warren here in Australia.

I have managed to to track the grand aunt in Australia, who was Mary Warren. The Australian records do not give her mother's name only that her father was Thomas Warren.

I have looked at the information for the Tullyheron Warren's mentioned in this thread but have only just begun to put them all together to try and find the link between Mary and Margaret Warren.

Happy to share what information I have.
