Hi - I've come across a couple of mentions of military records for John Greenwood b.1871 Chester.  Please could anyone let me know if there are any more details on this, please?  I've got all the census and parish records for John (mother Ann on birth cert., but brought up by what i assume are his aunt and uncle John and Mary), so this would be interesting if it is him.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks both. Evan Ricketts was my gr.gr. grandfather and his son David Ellis was my gr. Grandfather. David went to America so it's not him in Liverpool, but could have been one if his brothers, thank you.

Hi,  we've had a longstanding family story that one of my gr. grandparent's family was a head stonemason who worked on the cathedral being built. Would anyone know if records exist of the building work, please? My grandfather's family, originally from Rhyl, were stone masons, family name Ricketts, but could be Owen(s) from my grandmother's side.

Hi,

I'm trying to find the marriage details of John Wright b. c.1825 and Hannah Griffiths, please.  I think it's in 1846.  I'm trying to find the father of John Wright as there were about 3 Johns born in Hawarden around then and that's the best plan i have!  My gr.gr grandfather was their son, William b. 1862. Thank you!
