Thanks for your information. I think the Hach ancestor might well have been a Palentine person from Germany. They came over in 1709 to England.
Still looking for the connection to James and John and a Hack/Hach person.

I am looking for the forebears of James Hack born 1751 in Walton-in-Gordano
I believe his father was John Hack but can't get any further.

James married Betty Blackmore in 1777 at St.Paul Walton-in-Gordano.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. I will take them up.
Actually there are loads of Hacks/Hacke/Haacke people on the German website so it is a German name as well.

Thanks again
Kathleen

I have found an ancestor James Hacke also shown as Jabos Hack born 1751/53 in Walton-in-Gordano. James was married to Betty Blackmore
But am trying to find his father who may be John.

But there is a German connection somewhere. Maybe in the 1600's. Any suggestions for finding the missing link from 1751/52.

It would be someone who was born in Germany but lived in England. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kath

Thanks for the reply.
I do have details of him in 1841 census but can't find anything about his father and mother for certain. There is talk from his descendant (my cousin) that they have German blood and there are several Hack names in Germany, hence trying to find where Charles parents and grandparents are.

I am trying to find information about Charles Hack born 1816. He may have come from Pill Somerset.
He married in 1835 but died in 1845.
His wife Sarah Adams was born in Pill Somerset at the time.
Trying to find out who his parents were.

Does anyone know of any Hacks that came over from Germany to Bristol or Somerset or of course London?
