John (1830-??) and ellen Hynes (1831-1901/1911) were both from Westport. Married on30 Jan 1856 in Aughaval Parish, Westport. 10 children known born 1856-1874.  Seeking information on John's death believed to be 1875-1897 and Ellen's death between 1901 and 1911.  She was shown living on farm in 1901 census in Lachaun, Aghagower Parish, Buirrishoole Barony, County Mayo on the household farm. It shows her as a widow with her brother Thomas Hynes (1844-aft 1901) living with her.  Anyone have information about deaths. burials, cemeteries, etc.  Any family links??

Brendan,

Thanks for the information on the Kerry birth records.  Any thoughts on marriage records for the parents Michael and Ellen or for the four daughters, if they married is not known?

Parents Michael Halloran and Ellen Corrigan married on 04 Feb 1860 in the Parish of Ballyheigue RC, Diocese of Kerry.  They had at least 8 children (Mary, Thomas, James, Joanna,Catherine, Margaret, Michael and John) between 1861 and 1880; all were born/baptised in Parish of Ballyheigue RC, diocese of Kerry. Michael and Ellen settled in Chicago, IL, USA in 1902.  Four sons all settled in Chicago.  Nothing is known of the four daughters.  Anyone researching these lines who has information on what happened to them?

Hi Karen,

Thank you for again looking at this.  In fact, I have not been successful in obtaining this material.  Could you share the process with me?
I am still eager to obtain a copy.

Regards,

Christopher,

Indeed I would appreciate it if you could contact your friend.  Any further information on how to contact the priests in
Ardee and Dundalk will be a great help to me as we research the family.  Many thanks.
