That's OK Mrs. F...We understood that from your earlier post, I didn't want you to get your hopes up when the enlarged version was uploaded to try to help. I will wait until you can get a better scan as it will be worth it.
Carol

No Problem Carol and Thank you once again :)

Thank you to everyone who has given advice, and tried to restore the photograph.  Sorry if the size isn't large enough. As my mum who has the photo and is currently shielding as a vulnerable person, I am unable to get the photo and she lives 250miles away from me.  But as soon as I am able I will rescan and hopefully, this will be a better starting point for those who want to give it a go at restoration.  Thank you

Hi Mrs. F...Is there any chance that you could scan this at a resolution of 600dpi? The file is very small at only 16kbs and is quite damaged, you can post a file size of up to 500kbs on here.
The results will be so much better and will give you a good printout.
Carol
I will have to try and get hold of the original that my mother has after lockdown. This is a copy that I had sent a while back and unfortunately my mother is a vulnerable person so we cant physically go to see her at the moment but thank you anyway x

I couldn't do much with the dress as it's pretty much all blown out. I tried darkening it to see if there was any detail, but that just made it look blotchy.

Hello DanNC, thank you so much for taking the time to do the photo. I particularly like the first one.  Thank you 😊
