Thanks for all you replies. We were pleased to get Matilda's name as we are pretty sure she is right and we are following up the names Matthew William and Henry James in London as they fit in so well with the dates of the other children and the parents names are right. If  Henry and Susan did take the family to London for a bit they were back in Walsham le Willow for Allan Thomas's birth in 1862. We still have no idea where Henry and Susan were in 1861 but we know they were in Bradford in 1871 as we have census records. Would be grateful for any help tracking Henry and Susan

Hi

I am looking for 1861 English census records for Henry (sometimes called James) Aldridge and Susan Aldridge [nee Frost ] and family. Both parents and all the children I have found were born in Suffolk.  I have found the family in the 1841 and 1851 censuses in Walsham Le Willows, Suffolk and in the 1871 census in Bradford Yorkshire but cannot locate them in the 1861 census.

I have the following children. There may have been others.
James Henry (1842)
Robert (1843
William (1845)
George (1854)
Allan Thomas (1862)

I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks

Sorry I have just realised I typed it wrong. It was 1841 and I had Stow as a possible place so thats good.  I have a birth date for Henry of 5 August 1821. That is from England select births and Christenings 1538- 1975.  Thanks for picking that up. It is his wife Susan I am lacking information on.

I would be very grateful if anybody was able to give me more information on the siblings and parents of Hannah Wells who married Samuel Barton Lush on 3 July 1853 in Holy Trinity Hoxton Hackney London. I think her father may have been James. The couple subsequently moved to Auckland New Zealand. I am new to this site and I would value greatly any help received.

Suffolk / Henry ALDRIDGE/Susan FROST

I am looking for information on this couple. The only information I have so far is that they were married on 5th August 1821 somewhere in Suffolk. Henry supposedly died in the third quarter 1899, and Susan in the third quarter 1891. I believe Henry's parents were John Aldridge and Jane Leader but I have no idea who Susan's parents were. I would be very grateful for any help as I live too far away to visit Suffolk myself.

London and Middlesex / ELIZABETH TILLEY
« on: Saturday 12 November 16 04:48 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for further information on Elizabeth Tilley and her family. We think she was born on 7 October 1724 in Cripplegate London She was married to George Leader on the 29 April 1749 in a clandestine marriage, we think at the Mayfair chapel London.  We are not sure what a clandestine marriage is. We would also be grateful for further information on her husband George who we think was born on 26 April 1725 in Holborn London. His parents were possibly John Leader and Rebecca. I would be grateful for any help. Thanks.
