According to the census of 1911 the Mahers and the St Johns were neighbours,Ann died,we were told during childbirth in March 1910,her husband Edmond along with his eldest son Richard emigrated to America around 1921,her two middle sons Patrick ( our grandpa) and Edmond jnr came to England,whilst the youngest son James stayedin Curraheenduff with his grandparents,James daughter Ann still resides in the bungalow next to the now derelict family house.Ann Maher (St John)is buried in the cemetry at i think Ballingarry,ive a photo of the headstone which also has  the name of Edmond and Patrick on it

Maybe it was Ann (born 2/12/1876) that was my great grandmother then,her husband Edmond went to America with his eldest son Richard,regards Paul.

Hi Aislinn,forgot to mention,Anne was laid to rest in the cemetery in ballingarry,my sister has lots more information about the St John,s,

Anne Maher would of been my Grandads (Patrick St John) mother,she passed away in March 1910.There is a daughter of Annes youngest son (James) who lives near curraheenduff.regards Paul St John
