I have looked again at the 1910 census images for Amy, the previous page has the address as W 44th St, Amy is at 321 - 3 with a Kate Morderay? age 64 Theatre Cleaner.
I have found the Cohen's on page 41 of 42, which is sheet 21, as mentioned on one of the other posts, it is a supplementary sheet. Amy (Ammie Menister) is on image 18 sheet 9.

I haven't had any luck finding Alf Reeves on the 1910 Census but I do have Alf and Clara A on the 1920 and 1930 census.

I too have found it difficult to find articles on Alf and Amy Reeves, I must say I would love to see a copy of the marriage certificate. Since starting on my family tree, I have found Clara Amy Minister (Amy Reeves) was my 1st cousins 2 times removed. I have found a few bits and pieces over the last year or so that might be of interest to you.
I don't have a great deal to offer but I could probably give you the information on a few sites and articles I have found. Maybe we could compare notes, I am not sure if anything I have is of value to you but I would really like anything you have on Alf and Amy, of course Amy is my main area of interest.
I have found a couple of photos of Amy and also one of the cast going to the US on board the Cairnrona. I have quite a few of the passenger lists and other dates of interest.

I think I have Amy on the 1910 Census: Manhattan Ward 22, New York, Dist: 1347 Sheet: 9 it is very hard to find her though. She has been transcribed as Ammie Menister(which doesn't always show up in searches) Actress born England, none of the other cast members seem to be living there.

Yes Angela, that is the right one with the 4 month old twins. I have no idea where Benjamin was before the 1881 census.
If I have the right Dunlop family, I have found some of them on the 1971 census in Dundee, but not the 1861.

Thank you both for taking the time to look. I had thought it might be Tonay but not sure either. I wasn't sure about the Christian name, couldn't even hazard a guess.

Benjamin and Sarah arrived in  Queensland September 1882, I haven't had any luck finding them on earlier census, only the 1881 Scotland census. I have never found a birth for Benjamin and Sarah.

Many thanks again

Hi genjen - my you are quick!

Sorry, I realised after I posted that it was the grooms mother's maiden name I needed. I had thought the brides mother was Taggart, but the grooms motherhad me stumped.

You are right, the writing is dreadful, to make it worse, I have the births for two children and the death certificate of one of them all in the same hand!

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Jean

I think I have managed to decipher almost all of this Dundee certificate, but I really wanted the maiden name of the grooms mother. Until today looking at this board, I had no idea what the M S in front of her name meant. I take it that means maiden surname, is that right?

Thanks
Jean ???

Thank you all so much, I didn't expect anything this fast, I think you have all done a brilliant job.

I thought it would be too hard to fix the damage on my mothers face, but you have managed to do that. My mother would be very pleased with the results I am sure.

Thank you all once again for the effort you put into helping us all, it is really appreciated.

I have just found this wonderful board, I am stunned by the help given in restoring some of these wonderful old photos. I am sure all the work you do is very much by everyone you help.

I only have a couple of photos of my mother Lilian, this is the only one of her in her earlier years.
I have seen some of the magic performed on other photos in bad condition and hoped that someone might be able to fix this one up a bit.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
