We have a possible baptism for John (husband of Anne Winters) St Mary's Drogheda 5 Dec 1837, son of Pat Sheridan and Mary Lynch?
Parents of Anne Winters - Peter Winters and Anne Mullen of Monasterboice
We had another thread which began to trace the family backwards before I ran out of time - will need to search and work out how to link!
John is where I am stuck! I have absolutely no dates for him, nothing. All I have is his name and that he married Anne! I was looking for him on the ILE site last night...

Hi Sueclog!
I'm sure you've read, my great great grandmother is Bridget, John's sister! I've been stuck on their father and mother for months now! Just learning how to research my Irish ancestors with the help of Sinann 😁 The links have been very helpful! I actually just found Matthew Sheridan who was a surprise to me!!! Am now trying to find where Anne Winters was from to see if I have the correct marriage date for her and John. Then hopefully that will lead to their parents!

I did find Francis's and Rose Ann's, also Catherine's. I can't seem to find Mary's baptism record...wondering if the date of birth I have (Sept. 13, 1859) is incorrect. I just looked at the 1901 census and her age is 44 (listed with her father and niece...) that would put year of birth at 1857, making her the oldest child. Couldn't find her record for that year, so went back to 1856 and still no record. I wonder if she was baptized in a different parish? I will see if I can figure out what parish Anne was from. I will ask my cousin about the marriage!

So I can use these sites(the links above) to possibly find the rest of the children's birth/baptisms. If they are all in the same parish, could I assume that's the parish they were married in and search for their marriage certificate as well? Thank you so much for your help!!! My cousin helped me with family information. My 2nd great grandmother is Bridget Sheridan, and my cousin was the one who told me her mother and father were John Sheridan and Ann Winters. Further research and help from someone else pointed me here, where someone posted their marriage date.

My 3rd great grandfather was John Sheridan. He married Ann Winters in 1856. From what I can find they had six children: Catherine b1858, Mary b1859, Rose Ann b1861, Francis b1863, Bridget b1865 (my 2nd great grandmother), and John b1866 who is mentioned above and would be my 3rd great uncle.
I am currently stuck at my grandfather John and his wife Annie. I can not find ancestors of either! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
