Malham, were your father and siblings born in Ireland. I take it between approx. 1907 and 1931 ?

Hi Cathy,

My Dad was born to Cristina Tobin (no details of the father on the birth cert) on 2/9/1929 in Harlesden, West Middlesex. But only a couple of years later she was using the name Malham and living with John Henry Malham (initially in various addresses but they spent most of their time in 44 and 37 Haven Lane, in Ealing until he died and then she stayed in the same address until she was hospitalised and died. Thank you all for your help and assistance.

Thank you for your welcome and advice.

I come from a seriously broken family. So I didn't even know my Mum or Dad's names etc. We all went in to care at a very young age (five children and I was the youngest). So I basically have no one to ask (as I guess you would in a normal family situation).

All I have is what is on her death cert and marriage cert.

Death cert says she was born on 29th December 1889
Marriage cert states her father was James Tobin a Railway porter.

When she got married to John Henry Malham (in Brentford Middlesex) on 27th June 1946. She was 56 years old. So my Dad was basically illegitimate as there is no Fathers name on his birth cert. But in just reviewing. I see that she put her name down as Cristina
