Thank you once again.  It's all coming together.  I am of to chase the British red cross for a specific location of his war service in France.  Their online portal is a bit general.  Anyone have any luck contacting them direct to chase details?

Thank you for the local death notice.  That fills in a few more gaps for me.  I have the Aussie version but it is not half as detailed probably because he was overseas.  Strange his wife who was in the UK at the time I believe was not a mourner.  Will look into that.  Brilliant stuff.

Hello all.  New here.  I am in Perth Western Australia and researching a James William Hope born in Hay Wales 1851 who became a well known doctor in Fremantle WA.  Died 1918 in Bath and buried in Hay.

I have basic information such as census data.  I am looking for a headstone image from Hay cemetery.  Any family stories or local information is useful. 

Getting access to local databases and library information is tricky from Australia.

He also worked with red cross in France in world war one but have had little information about him from them.

Kilverts diary apparently mentions the Hope family in it.  Has anyone read that?

So would love to hear from any descendants or history buffs who can fill in some gaps.
