Kerry / Gleazier (Banmore) & Jones (Kilduff)
« on: Friday 29 December 17 15:52 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for information on the Gleazier family of Banmore, Kilflynn and the Jones of Kilduff, Ballymacelliott in Kerry.

Gleazier
My 3rd Great Grandfather was Adam Gleazier (c. 1841-1886) who was a carpenter and farmer. His children were Henry (b. 1875), John (b. 1876), Elizabeth (1878-1948), Sarah (1882-1961), Adam (1884-1923), Abraham (b.1886) and Mary Jane (1886-1927). His father was Henry Gleazier who may have married an Eliza Poff from Flemby in 1835 in Ballymacelliott.

Adam married Margaret Jones in 1874 in Ballymacelliot.

Elizabeth Gleazier was my 2nd Great Grandmother and married Frank Beattie (1884-1959) from Noan, Ballingleragh co. Tipperary in 1907. They eventually settled in Ballinakill outside Waterford city.

Jones
My 3rd Great Grandmother was Margaret (Maggie) Jones (1846-1923) from Kilduff Ballymacelliott. Her father was John Jones and Mary Pollard (c. 1810-1891). Their other children were John (b. 1936), Maria (1844-1907), Jane (b. 1849) and Ellen (b.1853).

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
James Beattie (d. 1899) in Ballingleragh was my 3rd Great Grandfather. I would be very interest to hear any information you have on the Beattie origins in Donegal. Likewise I would be willing to share any information I have on the Beatties on Noan and Ballingleragh.

I look forward to you private message.

Thanks.
