Canada Lookup Requests Completed / Re: Cemetery Search - Burnaby

Hi Kathleen,

Thanks for your reply. I have the address for Ocean View, which I may have to write to.

Was hoping there might have been an email address as, I am in Scotland.

Was hoping someone could do a search and manage to get a photograph of their headstone.

Regards

Cupcake

I was putting in 92.com missing out the 1.

There are a few Titterington's in the Belfast area and I will try other towns, too.

Thank you kindly.

Hi Scotmum,

I tried the address 92.com but, had no luck.

The reason I picked Northern Ireland, is there was a Desmond Titterington F1 driver, from Co. Down.

So thought I would give it ago.

Thank you.

Ireland / Titterington's in Northern Ireland
« on: Sunday 05 November 06 20:27 GMT (UK)  »

Hi there,

I know this is a tall order.

I believe there a some Titterington's in Ireland. Not sure where, though.

Was wondering if there any ancestors to Robert Titterington from Dumfries or  William Ernest Titterington of Kendal, Westmoreland.

Thank you

Can anyone assist me with a Joseph Jardine, Janet Jardine (nee Kerr) and family who sailed to Canada 31 March 1824.
The iformation I have on the ships name is Britania Cadelo? perhaps it is Caledonia.

I imagine they went out to their son James, in New Brunswick. James died 5 January 1846 and buried in St James Cemetery, Chatham, N.B.

I would like to know where Joseph & Janet are buried.

Joseph was born Scotland 1767 - died  23 January 1849, Napan, N.B.
Janet was born Scotland 1772 -  died  16 May 1860, N.B.

Any information on the above, would be very much appreciated.

Margaret

Hello Thelma,

Thank you so much for the 1911 census.  I am so grateful to you for taking the time to find it all for me.

This information means so much to me. I now know 3 children were born on Scotland. There was also a Jean and a Irene, obviously born in Canada.

I noticed his brother William Mein Moffat was on the census and, couldn't make the connection. Then I read the information I have ,which at the time, wondered why he was in Canada. Now I can.

May 1915

Private William M Moffat of  the 16th Battalion of the Canadians was wounded. There is much more, but won't bore you with the details. He returned to Scotland and married in 1916.

I also found the Rose married to Douglas McNeil and did think it could be ours.

Have looked at the passenger list, like you I'm not too sure.

Thank you once again.

Regards Margaret.

Hi there,

George Moffat was born 9th October 1878 - Dumfries, Scotland. Married in Dumfries. 1903.

His wife was Jane Moffat (nee MacKay) born 1877 Caithness, Scotland. They had a daughter Rose MacKay Moffat, born 23 March 1904- Dumfries,Scotland.

Unable to find any other chidren here after 1905. They had had other children, possiblbly born in Canada. These are the only ones I know of, Janet, Jean, Robert.

Would appreciate any information.

Thank you.

Margaret
