Lanarkshire / Searching for any Photographs

Hello, wonder if anyone can help me please. Through DNA I have managed to trace my Husbands Grandfather, I have looked at dozens of Family Trees he is mentioned on (on Ancestry) but nobody has any photos of him. Are there any sites out there where I might be able to find a picture of him? He was married twice (and had 6 children that we know of) but I can't find any photos at all.

Thank you

Denise

Hello there. I'm just digging into my Husbands (Gordon) family history and after him agreeing to a DNA test we have finally found out who his Grandfather was ( Gordons Mothers birth cert had a fathers name but it wasn't the person who her Mom was married too.....!!!) Anyway, His Grandfather was a Thomas McGee born 1885, who married Dorothy De Lille (Crump) in 1938. Unfortunately Thomas Died in 1939.

I know it's a while since you first posted but please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I want to thank you all for your replies to my post. Unfortunately Covid has finally found me and I'm really not up to doing much apart from sleeping at the moment. As soon as I'm up on my feet again I'll read your replies properly and start searching again. Once again, Thank you all.

Hello there, After years of looking, DNA has come up trumps and I've managed to find out who my Husbands Grandfather was. The trouble I'm having now is finding where he is buried. He was born on 4th May 1885 in Glasgow and died on 3rd Jan 1939 in Bridgeton Glasgow. (just 9 months after marrying his 2nd wife Dorothy). Can anyone help me please. Thank you.

Just helping Denise out with clips from the cert.

First image is the address for the birth of baby.

Second clip are the details showing for father Thomas McGee, an electric cranesman as Denise mentined earlier. From the cert, he did sign the register but the cert Denise has is a copy register and does not show his original signature to compare elsewhere unfortunately

Hello, after a few years trying not to muddle my brain with Family History, I'm having another bash at it.
I now have a copy of Thomas McGee's signature on the birth cert. How do i go about trying to compare/match it to any other documents he might have signed?

I'm trying to find my Mother in Laws (Mary) School records or any details of her Schooling. As far as we can tell she was bought up by a Lady in Wallace Street Glasgow. How do i go about finding the schools local to Wallace Street. Mary was born in 1936.
