Sarah McCarry Jordan is my gr-gr-grandmother.  She is the mother of Mary Jordan McKenna Kelly.

Sarah was born in 1812 and died in 1900.  She is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Pana, Illinois.  Tombstone lists her name along with her grandson, George McKenna.  A photo is on FindAGrave.com.

Mary McKenna Yenck is the sister of my gr-grandfather, Thomas McKenna.  Her parents were Mary Jordan McKenna and Francis McKenna.  Francis drowned in Scotland on January 1, 1886.

The family (Mary, her mother and three of her siblings) arrived in New York on October 14, 1886 on the steamship The State of Nevada.  They settled in Pana, Illinois.

Mary McKenna Yenck died in childbirth somewhere in the 1912 - 1913 time period.  She had two older children (Mary Helen and Francis) who lived to adulthood.

Years ago, I was told his father, Francis McKenna had drowned in Scotland.  I was never able to find anything on this until I saw your post today.

Interested in sharing info.
