Something still does not add up on DOBs!

Alfred Henry Wilson
          Wife: Ella Gertrude Chatt (Also Ord)
          Father: Charles Christopher Wilson (As per Marriage Cert) Automotive Engine Driver.
          Mother: Margaret Wilson

1891 Census Alfred is showing as 3 years old (i know this can differ)
        His Father a Locomotive Stoker
        Charles C Wilson   27
        Margaret Wilson   26
        Alfred H Wilson   3
        Ethel Wilson   2
        Beatrice Wilson   8/12

1901 Census Alfred is showing age 14
        His Father a Engine Driver N E R
        Charles C Wilson   35
        Margaret Wilson   34
        Alfred Wilson   14
        Ethel Wilson   12
        Beatrice Wilson   10
        Charles E Wilson   9
        Albert E Wilson   6

1911 Census - not yet located.

All looking good!

Checked the GRO for Births of Alfred and Siblings they show as MMN Anderson

WILSON, ALFRED  HENRY     ANDERSON 
GRO Reference: 1887  J Quarter in DURHAM  Volume 10A  Page 367

But on 1939 register Alfred Henry Wilson DOB is 25 Apr 1891
This also has Ella Gertrude and her children to first husband and to Alfred so looks to be the correct one.

Could the 1939 register just be an error on the date of birth?
