I know it is not a record but as it was there I felt it was something worth looking into. I am only too well aware of falling into the trap of accepting what is on Family search without confirming the record.

There is a record on Family search for David Mackie born 26 Apr 1769, baptised 30 Apr 1769 in South Leith. Parents are listed as Alexander Mackie and Margaret Doig.

Hi Lodger thanks for looking and Sancti don't have a link to Hamilton yet but you never know. There maybe one somewhere. Have loads of births, marriages, Census info but deaths seem to be another matter!!!

Hi all,

Wonder if anyone has come across the name Gebbie in any Carnwath burial/grave records. My lot were there from at least 1836 when James Gebbie and Janet Thomson married there and some of their children were still there in the 1890s.

I know this doesn't help with the burial in Kirkintilloch you were looking for but this site lists the graves in Tulliallan. Several Scotland's buried there.

Don't know if you have seen this site but I found it very helpful finding my Islay ancestors.

This may help. Look at Enumeration District 5.

Most records are 19th century with a few late 18th century.
