New Zealand Completed Requests / william mathieson s s pacific fortune
« on: Monday 06 March 06 20:09 GMT (UK)  »
hi i was hoping somebody could help me or point me in the right direction,i am looking for my grand dad william johnston mathieson, who jumped ship 26th april 1946.

believed to be new zealand or tasmania, william left behind his wife isabella, and his 3 boys james, alec and my dad william.my grand dad was born 1909,married in1929,he was an apprentice baker

i assume he started a new life ,maybe new family.as he was only 37 at the time,i think he will have met someone else, william might have changed his name, due to deserting his ship, but i do not know,i am just wondering when he died, but he could be 97 and alive, but us mathiesons seem to die young, also did he start a new family.so if anybody knows anything please let me know
