Europe / Re: France - Judeth Franks 1685 -1732

I usually cross reference things from ancestry with family search formally  the latter day saints website..
I found  a marriage for Judeth Franks and Luke( K)nock  1st March 1711 wombourne Staffordshire..
Ancestry usually then give you hints of people with the same names etc and their trees.. unless I can verify information  myself I never add other people's info onto my tree, but it intrigued me as I wondered where they got their info from .. I didn't like to ask either as some don't reply anyway and my membership has run out now so can't access anything on there at the moment until I reactivate it.

She did die at flanders I have been trying to verify that but again wasn't sure how lol.

Luke and Judeth had a son James who married a Dorothy Humphries, they had a son Thomas he married Mary Trowman, they had a daughter Sarah Nock, Sarah married  an isaac Westwood  and so on ending with my grt grandmother  Mercy Ann Pearson ..

I've recently found out my 7 x grt  grandmother  was French, I have no idea how to follow or find information  on French family history, I have tried googling her name and parents names and it brings up French royalty which I don't think is correct.
Her parents were Charles Franks and Ermentrude DeOrleans I don't have any dates for them at the moment .
I just need pointing in the right direction  if anyone can help.
Thank you in advance.
Kaz.

William and Elizabeth Mary moved about a bit in England before he got a job at Parkhurst Isle of Wight as  a prison guard...  he died a few years  after the  1881, In 1891 Elizabeth Mary  is a widow and running a pub on the isle of wight..
