Hi,

Can anyone help in dating these photos? Theres nothing on the backs of the frames to help narrow things down. These were found when clearing my grandparents house in Cumbria, we’ve managed to identify some of the others we found but these remain a mystery.

Hi,

Can anyone help in dating the attached photo/picture, it was found with a number of other framed family photos at my Grandparents house in Cumbria. All the others we have managed to put names to, however this one remains a mystery. We are pretty certain it's a family member as she looks exactly like my younger cousin.

The framer's sticker on the back is A.Wilson of King St, Whitehaven. Looking through the census records and trade directories, the framer looks to have been in business around 1881 - 1900, would the image date to this time?
