On Old naval records I have come across “Occupation “ stated as G H School, what does G H stand for and was this a boys naval training School?

Please can anyone decipher the Naval Deployment for the Date 3rd January 1912. I assume this was a Coastguard Station and Sector as the rating was “Boatman”

Please can anyone explain what the initials are following HMS Penelope for the service record date 8th July 1891, I make the initials A.L but I cannot find any reference to the meaning of these initials.
