Hello, I am wondering if anybody has information on Ann McLean, Catherine McLean's mom. My connection to her is potentially Margaret Campbell. I believe that Ann Mclean had a daughter (Margaret Campbell, born 1874) with Norman Campbell from Campbell's Bay in Quebec. It was rumoured that there were indigenous roots on Margaret's side as my Grandfather had always said she appeared native. But the whole thing was very hush hush on that side of my family.
Margaret was born out of wedlock, just as Catherine appears to have been.
According to my Ancestry DNA test, my DNA is linked to someone with Catherine's bloodline based on the indigenous gene.
