Thanks. Oh dear. The posts did not show the year. As it just said May with no year it was academic it was not this year, but a fair old while ago as you state.

Hi, My Grandmother's last name was Hallowell-Carew and her Father was Roy Hallowell-Carew. I believe the WW2 casualty Roy Philip you mentioned was possibly my Grandmother's Brother for she had a brother I know as Philip Hallowell-Carew. Perhaps I can assist. Not sure why you are interested in Hallowell-Carew or how much you know about the name. It is the UK arm of the Hallowell name from Boston and is the result of the inheritance of the Carew estate in about 1825.
