Yes I know there another thread about the Herny Walter Bird and I am not looking for information on him.
I have the birth certificate of my grandfather William Tasman Bird (1902) and it states that Mary Ellen was born in Manchester England (30 years old at the time of his birth) Her death certificate also states that she was born in Manchester England.

Many thanks for the above information.
I have this information and certificates of my grandfather William Bird as well as Mary Ellen’s death cert.
what I am hoping to find is how she arrived in Australia and her life before arrival into Oz.
From searching on my dna matches I am sure that the spelling of the surname is Kenealy.
Thanks.

Hello am hoping to find some information on a great grandmother Mary Ellen known to be born in Manchester UK and died in Herberton Australia in 1951.
No known information on her prior to meeting up with Henry Walter Bird in Australia and having several children out of wedlock.
I have her death cert but no mention of parents, she was 79 years and 9 months in 1951 when she passed born in Manchester. DOB 1871/72 roughly.
Cannot find and transportation documents on arrival into Australia or life prior to meeting up with Bird.
Any help to point me in a direction would be greatly appreciated.

The date of birth for Henry Walter Bird - is very questionable.
As previously stated on the the death certificate in 1935 it states 86y10m11days = 31/12/1848

I have found a birth certificate for Harry Birth -28/07/1907 which states father Henry Walter Bird was 47 = 1860

Then there is the Trove death notice on 1935 stating his age was 77 = 1858

I would guess that the death notice DOB is incorrect as the death was reported by his grandson Norman Bird and not his wife(?) or children.

As there seem to be 2 or 3 people on this thread interested in the purchase of this certificate, but no-one actually doing it, I suggest you use the Personal Message system and negotiate a solution to acquiring it! ;D

I have ordered the death certificate!!

Sue

I also have been searching for information on Henry Walter Bird - Great Grandfather, but when searching the death records on the website for Queensland it does not mention father or mother and so I am reluctant to order the death certificate.
As per below -
Death registration:

Henry Walter Bird

Death date: 11/11/1935
Mother's name: -
Father/parent's name: -
Registration details: 1935/C/4357

Am I correct in thinking this?
I am more than happy to order the certificate but it seems pointless if this information is not listed.

I do know that he was not married as my mother had me that her father William Tasman Bird was terribly upset when he found out that his mother and father were not married.
