I have a baptism for Anne Allom in 1645 but with only father John shown.

I am trying Anc search *ll*m and switch last to n. Hopefully that covers Hallam Allum etc
but also picks up Billingham

Nothing clear in brixworth but these look likely
John Allam Marriage Date: 5 Jun 1623 Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, England Spouse: Alice Buckmaster
Martha Allam [Matthia Allam] Baptism Date: 13 Aug 1626 Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, England Father: John Allam

But not finding anything else for Alice or Martha.... so hard to say if this is John Anne's father ..

What I have found so far http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~lankshear/Eagle/AllomAnne_JohnCook_marriageBrixworth.htm

i did find John Cook of 1687 they had wrong year 1686 and name Coos

And also John Cooke  1644 very likely 3 baptisms on 7 April..

Thank you so much ... oh dear I should searched Ancestry with *ook as the 1671 marriage was John Dook to Anne Dare (image clearly Allom) and the 1680 baptism was Vook.. I know Old English writing is difficult. And Ancestry  "sounds Like" search does not hack it.

Then if Elizabeth born 1680 and she died 1730 aged 50.. and last of 8 child 1724 when she 44..

So I looked for James Fox and only one found was 21 Nov 1675 Northampton, All Saints
and if that is him he marries again after Elizabeth dies and dies himself in 1764 I presume 88 ... alas all burial says is labourer.

So I will now ignore the James and Catharine as their Elizabeth died just after birth
And now the next on my matrilineal line Anne Allom bap 1645 ...
Thank you
Thank you

Northamptonshire / Elizabeth Cook who married James Fox in Brixworth in 1708

I am back to 30 October 1708 marriage of Elizabeth Cook to James Fox at Brixworth.
Elizabeth has 8 children and dies in 1730. The burial has no age shown
Does anyone have any access to Memorials with Age data?

I can see a baptism for Eliz Cook 24 Jul 1691 Brixworth James, Catarine
Checking the baptism I think it was 13 Sep 1691 not July
But alas a burial of Elizab Cook 15 Sep 1691 Brixworth, Northamptonshire, England an infant.
I think it must be the child just baptised.
I can no other Elizabeth baptisms that might be the burial .

Neither can I see James Cook marriage to a Catharine or Kathrine c1690

Or in surrounding areas ...
Brixworth seems fairly well transcribed in that period

Thank you

Thank you ... I saw the WARING records with Sarah but the baptism did not say George WARING was a baker. And yesterday I thought  WARING and WARREN were utterly different surnames. Did not seem to sound at all alike ....
But now I've looked at the burial of George WARING, baker, on 8 Jul 1769 and I've looked around the web and seen all the sites saying Warren Wareing Waring etc etc...

It seems to come from a forename Warin rather than some which will come from Varenne ... ah surnames great fun...

So many thanks Prawncocktail I am now looking at ffox in Brixworth looks like baptised 1709 and mother also Elizabeth.... I will be back to Civil War maybe today...

Good work folk ...

I am searching my matrilineal line I am looking for Warren in Northamptonshire Scaldwell.
Sarah WARREN Spinster Scaldwell 2nd Daughter of George WARREN Baker
Marriage to John WADSWORTH Bachelor Groom abode B. Finedon Scaldwell Fellmonger
at St Peter and St Paul on 17 Nov 1765
Winesses William GILBERT Martha LANGLEY - 3rd witness John Webb is a church person signing all certs on that page

Looks like the father George dies in 1808 at 84 so born c1724.
I presume his son George is a marriage in 1755 and I assume this George is the fellmonger also found
But I cannot find any Warren's before 1755
or a marriage for the father
with at least son George, a daughter and then Sarah.
I have looked around Northants and beyond
There is also a Wm Warren master of local school

But c1755 they seem to be a firm Scaldwell family. So why cannot I find earlier

BMD certificates you buy from the government at
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/
cost is GBP 9.25 each if you have the full ref - as per postings

Transcription services are ok for Aust certs - no need to pay extra to an Aussie agent for UK certs.
You save on the credit card conversion charges by buying a few at once

Yes I thought the 1871 Sittingbourne man looks just right for the 1871 marriage
and for sure this birth must be him
